About

Off-Beat Tourism as name envisages is dedicated to take people where few tend to go. We plan to build an eco system which will allow people to explore the less explored with major focus on wildlife destinations of India and primarily North East.

Off-Beat Tourism  was an unplanned venture which started as a half done family property needed someone to take up the task to set it up and make it a destination in a remote lesser known jungle called Manas National Park. Not happy with a big city life but as an avid jungle lover, felt that it’s better to take up this challenge and make it a success. Two hard years of Covid, yet managed to make a name was very rewarding; also getting boost from stalwarts of jungle tourism was enough to plan a startup.

This will also entail creating a team of local youngsters who will be empowered and educated in giving an experience to cherish.

North East and specially Assam is one of the most gifted land in India, it has all elements to make it beautiful as well as full of flora and fauna. Infect as far as wildlife is concerned it harbors most varied species present in India. We plan to introduce the unknown species to our guests and along with that also introduce them to the varied culture present in this region.

We have started our journey with making our presence at Manas National Park. The Sikhiri Cottages. We plan to take forward with adding different locations in near future. Eventually we will have a circuit for our guest and they may choose which type of location and type of experience they wish to have.

We have now a small but experienced team of youngsters from Assam who are geared up to take care of guest. As we go ahead we will be adding and training more youngsters to take up the role of tourist friends and show them this beautiful land.

Along with running Resorts, conducting Safaris making end to end arrangements for guest we also engage with communities living near forest and remote areas to make them part of our journey. We have introduced village walk, meal at village, village handloom products and some more handmade items which are specific to the area and people of that place.  If we wish to conserve our forests, we must look after the needs of local people by helping to improve their ability to earn livelihoods. Our Resorts are and will be mostly in remote locations away from regular tourism hubs help ensure that the benefit of eco-tourism is distributed far and beyond.
